Salmon



PREP and PRESENTATION NOTES

  • A delicious and nutritious main dish.
  • Seasoning Option 1 is prepared with marinade.
  • Seasoning Option 2 is prepared with garlic and lemon.
  • In Seasoning Option 3, salmon is prepared plain, without additional seasoning.


INGREDIENTS

Salmon
  • 1 salmon fillet
  • 1 T butter
Seasoning Option 1 (marinade)
  • 1/3 C orange juice
  • 1/3 C soy sauce
  • 3 T ketchup
  • 3 T oil
  • 1 T honey
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, ground
Seasoning Option 2 (lemon and garlic)
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced into rounds, seeded
Seasoning Option 3 (plain)
  • (no seasoning required)


DIRECTIONS

Preparation
  • Butter a glass pie plate or baking dish large enough to lay out the salmon flat.
  • Place salmon skin-side down in dish.
 Seasoning Option 1
  • Mix marinade ingredients.
  • Add to salmon and marinate in refrigerator one hour.
Seasoning Option 2
  • Sprinkle salmon with garlic.
  • Arrange lemon slices to cover surface of salmon.
Seasoning Option 3
  • No seasoning required.
Bake
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes.
