PREP and PRESENTATION NOTES
- Homemade crème fraîche can be flavored any way you like it. Add a teaspoon of sugar or spice it up with horseradish.
INGREDIENTS
Crème Fraîche
- 2 C heavy cream
- 2 T buttermilk
DIRECTIONS
Crème Fraîche
- Mix heavy cream and buttermilk in glass jar.
- Cover with cheesecloth.
- Set at warm room temperature for 8-12 hours, stirring every 5 hours.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 24 hours.
- Stir in flavorings, if desired, and serve.
