Créme Fraîche



PREP and PRESENTATION NOTES

  • Homemade crème fraîche can be flavored any way you like it. Add a teaspoon of sugar or spice it up with horseradish.


INGREDIENTS

Crème Fraîche
  • 2 C heavy cream
  • 2 T buttermilk


DIRECTIONS

Crème Fraîche
  • Mix heavy cream and buttermilk in glass jar.
  • Cover with cheesecloth.
  • Set at warm room temperature for 8-12 hours, stirring every 5 hours.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 24 hours.
  • Stir in flavorings, if desired, and serve.
